Professional International Pilot Program

The objective of our professional international pilot program is to prepare international students for safe and effective careers as professional pilots. Students who complete the program will obtain their FAA commercial license and be ready to fly commercially as a pilot. Program includes all the required training for Private Pilot, Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot certificates. We also offer commercial multi-engine add-on training after completion of commercial single engine land course. Completion time is approximately 10-12 months. Admission requirements include holding an M-1 student visa issued by Sky Safety, FAA medical certificate (after arriving USA), completion of TSA approval and satisfy all requirements of the admission procedure. This program is approved and conducted under FAR Part 141.
Private Pilot
Initial stage of flight training, allows people fly an aircraft by themselves after completion.
2-4 Months
Instrument Rating
Next step after private pilot certificate. Learn to fly with avionics and flight equipments.
2-3 Months
Commercial Pilot
Provides advanced aeronautical training. A requirement to work for hire as a pilot.
Multi-Engine Add
Advanced training in a multi-engine aircraft ; get your multi-engine add-on rating

Enrollment Requirement
1. Student must be within 6 months of 18th birthday or older. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Be able to read, write, and speak English at ICAO level 4 for non-native English speakers.
3. Healthy physical condition, capable of getting a 1st Class FAA before solo flight.
4. Enroll as full time student and perform at least four flight or ground activities per week.
5. Obtain M-1 Visa issued by Sky Safety and TSA approval before flight training.
Program Cost
In general, the average total cost of our professional pilot program is $66,000. Cost includes 230 hours of single engine training and 20 hours of multi-engine training, ground instruction, exams and training materials. Upon completion, students are expected to have their FAA commercial certificate with multi-engine rating. Below is the breakdown of training cost. Admission Process and Tuition Payment
To begin your professional pilot program, international students need to request an I-20 issued by Sky Safety and submit a $1,000 deposit to initiate enrollment. After arrival at US, student will submit a deposit and several monthly payment by following a payment schedule. Detailed admission process and tuition payment information please click here.
